ECU vs. App. State – Let’s Support the Pirates
There is a viewing site at LKN Sports Bar Grill in Cornelius, shops on the green on the green . The owners have said they would carry the game and want to be the viewing site for ECU @ the Lake this year.
The game is listed as MSN/ITN (Greenville, NC). In the past Greenville has been bad about scrambling the signal out of Greenville and made it tough to carry the game via satellite. The game is listed on the Direct TV channel and the owners of LKN Sports Bar & Grill said they plan on carrying the game.
Come Support the Pirates at the Lake Norman Sports Bar and Grill.

Don’t know if you watched the game but of you did’nt congratulations.
Patrick Pinkney, our hero in the beginning of the year…stunk it up!
We could not hold on to the ball. We could not catch the ball without putting a knee on the ground.
I was extremely disappointed in the mental mistakes!!
Got any thoughts?

ECU-VA YUK
Did anyone watch the game Saturday. I had to quit watching in the first half because the Pirates were stinking it up. I got excited in the second half when they got the ball back at 28-20. Then…Pinkney fumbled. Protect the ball for gosh sakes!!!
Some of the receivers for VA were so open I could have completed the passes. I was at the Va. Tech game and this is not the same team…
What is going on with the Pirates?
Two weeks in a row of dissappointment!
Please comment and let us that have not been able to go know what has been going on!

ECU Pirates Ranked 14 in the Nation
After opening the season by upsetting two ranked teams, the Pirates earned themselves a place in the AP Top 25 for the first time in nine years.
East Carolina’s latest big win was its third consecutive against a ranked opponent, dating to last season’s Hawaii Bowl victory against Boise State, and probably the Pirates’ most impressive.
East Carolina manhandled previously No. 8 West Virginia 24-3, shutting down Pat White and the Mountaineers’ speedy spread offense. That came a week after the Pirates took out Virginia Tech.
The last time East Carolina was on a roll like this was 1999, when the Pirates were ranked most of the season before falling out on the final poll of the season. East Carolina hasn’t been ranked this highly since 1991, when the Pirates finished the season at No. 9.

ECU’s T.J. Lee Awarded Pontiac Game Changing Play
In an online voting held on pontiac.com this week, T.J. Lee’s blocked punt against No. 17 Va. Tech that resulted in a touchdown giving East Carolina a 27-22 win in Charlotte was named the Pontiac Game Changing Performance-of-the-Week on ESPN Thursday night.
Lee’s play received 55 percent of the online votes to be named the Pontiac Game Changing Performance-of-the-Week, the first in ECU’s history. Voting began on Sunday, Aug. 31 and ended midnight Wednesday, Sept. 3 where 20,722 votes were casted.
East Carolina will receive a $5,000 contribution from Pontiac to their general scholarship fund. Additionally, the winning play will be nominated for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year award and the chance to win a $100,000 general scholarship contribution from Pontiac.
“Awarding $1.5 million since its inception, the Pontiac Game Changing Performance program continues to be a great example of how passionate fans can have a positive impact academically and athletically by generating scholarship dollars for university-wide programs,” said Rece Davis, ESPN
